Digital Press Operator
- Qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience:
- Experience operating a digital press and/or minimum 2 years web and/or offset experience required.
- Familiarity with various printing techniques and materials.
- Skills:
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to interpret various instructions.
- Proficient knowledge of production materials, quality control methods, and color standards.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and advanced computer skills.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Responsibilities:
- Press Operations:
- Set up and operate the digital press, preparing for preflight, color adjustments, and the production of all digitally printed products.
- Conduct visual and specification quality checks, continuously monitor press conditions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality output.
- Maintenance and Efficiency:
- Perform routine maintenance on the digital press and requisition supplies as needed.
- Maintain press efficiency and minimize waste through proactive troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Safety and Cleanliness:
- Adhere to all safety and housekeeping standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow safety guidelines for material handling, machine, and tooling use.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Report any safety risks or incidents to the supervisor or safety team representative.
- Additional Duties:
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management.
